Odessa, TX — April 13, 2023, Cesar Moreyra Quezada was killed and two were injured after a car accident at around 9:23 p.m. along 8th Street.

Preliminary details about the crash were given by authorities, who said the collision happened near the intersection of East 8th Street and Custer Avenue.

Statements from officials say that 28-year-old Cesar Moreyra Quezada was the driver of a Chevy Suburban that was traveling westbound along 8th Street. Ahead, a Chrysler 300 was said to have entered westbound lanes from a driveway. As it entered 8th Street, the Chevy crashed into the side of the Chrysler.

Due to the collision, Moreyra Quezada sustained fatal injuries. Two passengers in the Chevy had injuries described as non-incapacitating. The passenger of the Chrysler also had reportedly non-incapacitating injuries. At this time, authorities say they’re looking into the driver of the Chrysler possibly being under the influence of alcohol. This and other details remain unconfirmed.
