Kent, OH — January 22, 2024, William Williams was killed and two others were injured in a truck accident at approximately 8:45 p.m. along Lake Street.
According to authorities, William Williams was the passenger in an eastbound Chevy Malibu on Lake Street in the vicinity of Edgewood Drive when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the Malibu was likely traveling at high rates of speed which may have contributed to the accident. The vehicle reportedly collided with a bucket truck that had been parked on the side of the road.
Williams incurred fatal injuries due to the crash, reports say; he was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the Malibu and the worker who had been inside the bucket truck both incurred injuries of unknown severity, according to reports. They were taken to local medical facilities for treatment.
