Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

When it comes to a single-vehicle car accident, it’s important to know what exactly authorities have been looking into. They’re not often seen as a high priority, so details can slip through the cracks if they’re less common or particularly challenging to investigate. Were there mechanical issues? Missing signage? A tire defect? Was someone unlawfully over-served by an alcohol provider? Did a medical condition contribute to the crash? Likely or not, investigators need to be able to rule out possibilities and ultimately let the facts tell the story. Otherwise, they risk giving victims and families less than the complete story they deserve.
