Ionia County, MI — August 21, 2024, one person was injured following a two-truck accident at approximately 9:15 a.m. along Interstate Highway 96.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I.H. 96 in the vicinity of Jordan Lake Road.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a collision took place between two 18-wheelers. The wreck caused one of the trucks to become caught on fire, according to reports. The 50-year-old man who was inside the truck that was aflame was able to self-extricate, though he did sustain injuries of unknown severity.
