Mannington Township, NJ — May 27, 2023, two people were injured in a semi-truck/train collision at the Acton Station Road Crossing in Mannington Township, NJ.
Authorities indicate that on May 27, a collision between a semi-truck and a train occurred shortly after 11:00 a.m. at the Acton Station Railroad crossing in Salem County. According to reports, for unknown reasons, the semi drove straight through the railroad crossing while the train was in motion.
Sources say the collision caused the train’s rear to come off track. None of the train passengers sustained injuries in the crash. The conductor of the train reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment at an area hospital. The semi-truck driver survived the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
