Sacramento, CA — January 9, 2025, one person was killed in a truck accident at about 5 a.m. on Interstate 5/West Side Freeway.
Authorities said a woman walking in the road near the Sutterville Road exit was struck by several vehicles. She was in the fourth lane of traffic when she was hit.
The driver of a Dodge Ram pickup swerved unsuccessfully to avoid the woman, according to authorities, then she subsequently was hit by two semi-trucks.
The woman, who has not been identified at this time, died at the scene of the crash, authorities said.
The crash is still under investigation.
