Georgetown, TX — January 4, 2024, one person was injured in a truck accident just after 8:00 in the morning along State Highway 195.
According to reports, a 42-year-old man was traveling in a southwest bound Ford Explorer along C.R. 143 at the S.H. 195 intersection when the accident took place.

Weather conditions in the area at the time were reportedly foggy and visibility was low, as a result. Officials indicate that a northwest bound 18-wheeler on S.H. 195 was traveling at speeds deemed to high when the weather and visibility conditions are taken into account. The 18-wheeler purportedly did not see the red light at the intersection in time to stop. The 18-wheeler continued into the intersection at an unsafe time, resulting in a T-bone collision between the front end of the 18-wheeler and the drivers side of the SUV.
The 42-year-old sole occupant of the SUV incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
