Hood County, TX — June 9, 2024, Timothy Clinkscale and two others were injured following a car accident just after 1:30 p.m. along U.S. 377.

According to authorities, 70-year-old Timothy Clinkscale and a 70-year-old woman were traveling in an eastbound Cadillac on U.S. Highway 377 in the vicinity of the Davis Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Volkswagen Jetta occupied by an 83-year-old man and a 64-year-old man on the highway attempted a left turn into the eastbound lanes at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way during a left turn. This resulted in a collision between the two vehicles.

Clinkscale suffered reportedly severe injuries due to the wreck. The woman who was with him in the Cadillac and the 83-year-old man from the Jetta sustained moderate injuries, as well, according to reports. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
