El Paso, TX — July 5, 2024, a teenager was killed following a single-car accident at approximately 1:30 a.m. along Montana Avenue.
According to authorities, a 17-year-old man was traveling in a westbound Volkswagen Golf on Montana Avenue in the vicinity of the Camino Azteca intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the vehicle may have been traveling at high rates of speed in the moments leading up to the accident. It reportedly lost control before striking the right curb of the roadway and overturning, crashing into a pole, and coming to a stop. The young man suffered reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene.
