Authorities indicate that on September 28, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle and a bicyclist collided in Cinco Ranch for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened before 6:45 in the morning.
Investigators say a teen boy riding his bike was in the crosswalk on Mason Road when the vehicle struck him. Sources say people attempted to give the boy CPR before police arrived at the scene. Despite efforts to save him, the 14-year-old boy did not survive.
Police say the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene following the accident and was arrested at a later time. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. No other injuries were reported.
