Upshur County, TX — December 21, 2025, a teenager was killed and Steve Reneau was injured due to a car accident late Sunday on Chipmunk Road.
Initial reports on the crash say that it happened north of Gilmer off Chipmunk Road and Cougar Road, west of US 271.
According to officials, 18-year-old Steve Reneau and a 15-year-old were in a vehicle going along the roadway. That vehicle apparently lost control, and it crashed off-road. Due to the crash, the 15-year-old in the vehicle was killed. Steve Reneau had to be airlifted to a hospital.
At this time, further statements about the crash have not been confirmed.
