Smith County, TX — July 15, 2024, one person was injured in a single-vehicle car accident shortly after 3:30 a.m. along Farm to Market 724.
According to authorities, three people were traveling in an eastbound Volkswagen Beetle on F.M. 724 in the vicinity east of C.R. 1151 when the accident took place.

The 46-year-old woman who had been the front-seat passenger sustained serious injuries over the course of the accident, according to reports. She was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. And perhaps most importantly, did authorities identify and follow up on the individuals who fled? Their accounts could be critical to understanding what happened and who was behind the wheel.
Equally important, has anyone looked into whether a vehicle defect might have contributed to the crash?
