Harris County, TX — March 5, 2023, Sierra Stark, Terence Elder, and one other were injured after a multi-vehicle accident.
Investigators said they were called to the scene just before 3:00 a.m. along Grand Parkway in the area of Gleannloch Forest Drive.
According to officials, 24-year-old Sierra Stark and a 26-year-old man were in a Nissan Sentra going eastbound on Highway 99. Ahead of them was a Chevy Silverado. Current information suggests that Kia Soul was driving into oncoming traffic, and it sideswiped the Silverado before then hitting the Nissan head-on.

Due to the collision, Stark and her passenger had incapacitating injuries. The Kia driver, identified as 55-year-old Terence Elder, also had incapacitating injuries. The Chevy driver was apparently uninjured. The exact cause of the crash can’t be confirmed at this time.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
These are obviously very serious details, but I would caution people against jumping to conclusions. Wrong-way crashes raise certain red flags, but there could be unusual circumstances to consider. For example, here in Dallas, there were a lot accidents involving wrong-way drivers several years ago after a toll road opened. TxDOT did some investigating, and they found the “Do Not Enter” signs were too high. They lowered them, and lo and behold, the number of wrong-way crashes went down significantly.
So whatever led to this crash, common or not, speculating isn’t going to get anyone the help or the answers they need. Ultimately, it’s best to just let the evidence speak for itself, and I’m sure there’s more to this story.
