Fort Worth, TX — January 27, 2024, Shane Lee Maynor and two others were injured in a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 10:30 p.m. along University Drive.

According to authorities, police attempted to pull over a pickup truck occupied by a 29-year-old man in the vicinity of the University Drive and Bailey Avenue intersection, but the vehicle allegedly refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.

Before the pursuit ended, the vehicle purportedly collided with two pedestrians—36-year-old Shane Lee Maynor and a 34-year-old woman—and another vehicle. Both of the pedestrians sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the accident. The driver of the pickup also apparently incurred severe injuries. All three were transported to local medical facilities in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.

The driver of the suspect vehicle was reportedly arrested following the chase. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
