Westfield, IN — August 2, 2023, thirteen people were hurt as the result of a shuttle bus accident at around 10:00 a.m. along 151st Street.
Initial details about the crash say that it happened at the intersection of the U.S. Highway 31 service road and 151st Street intersection.
According to reports, a Sanders Glen assisted living center shuttle bus was traveling through the intersection. At the same time, an SUV was crossing. Somehow, the two vehicles collided, causing the bus to overturn onto its side.
It appears that of the twelve passengers on the bus, at least four had apparently serious injuries. The severity of other injuries was no disclosed, and it’s unclear if the drivers involved had significant injuries. Right now, the cause of the crash remains unclear.
