Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
With reports saying no one was taken to a hospital here, I hope they still took the possibility of serious injury seriously. Not long ago, I handled a case where a commercial vehicle driver involved in a crash walked away with minor back pain—so he thought. Days later, he could barely move. It turned out he ruptured a disk in his spine, it leaked fluid over several days, and it became pain so excruciating he couldn’t get out of bed on his own. What seemed to be no big deal turned into surgery and a lengthy recovery process. That’s why a lot of folks decide to get checked out no matter what.
As they say: Prepare for the worst, but hope for the best.
