San Antonio, TX — August 24, 2024, Roxana Bafidis was killed following a pedestrian versus truck accident at approximately 1:30 a.m. along La Cantera Terrace.
According to authorities, 32-year-old Roxana Bifidis was on foot outside of a truck apparently having an argument with the man behind the wheel when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, Bifidis attempted to hold onto the truck as it began to drive away, but she was unable to maintain her grip. She reportedly fell to the ground and struck her head, suffering critical injuries as a result. She was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, she was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of her injuries, having later been declared deceased.

Authorities say the vehicle involved left the scene, but details suggest they identified the vehicle and the occupants involved. It’s unclear if charges are being considered. If this was a hit-and-run incident, it wouldn’t be unusual for there to be charges. However, it’s important when someone leaves the scene to also know why they left the scene. There could be all kinds of reasons, and maybe circumstances were such that the initial claims aren’t telling the whole story. But investigations tend to reveal things like warrants, drugs, drunk driving, or other things a driver wouldn’t want police to find out about. Could it be something like that happened here?
