Tom Green County, TX — December 16, 2025, Rosalba Aleman, Luis Vazquez, and two others were injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at 3:26 a.m. on US 277.
Investigators said that the crash took place northeast of San Angelo off the corner of US 277 and Old Ballinger Highway.
According to officials, a Ford F-150 was going southbound along US 277. The pickup reportedly failed to control speed, resulting in a collision with a GMC Sierra and a Nissan Rogue, both also going southbound.
65-year-old Rosalba Aleman was a passenger in the GMC. Rosalba Aleman reportedly was seriously injured while the GMC driver had moderate injuries. The driver of the Nissan, 29-year-old Luis Vazquez, reportedly had moderate injuries, as did the Ford driver.
Authorities allege that the Ford driver was under the influence of alcohol. They recommended multiple charges.

After chaotic accidents like this, people see a driver facing charges and figure that makes everything open-and-shut. A lot of the time, though, that’s just the beginning. Especially with alcohol, it’s important to know what other factors may have played a role in the crash—and if there were any accomplices.
For example, a lot of drunk driving wrecks involve drunk drivers who were over-served by a bar, restaurant, or similar establishment. Those alcohol providers can be liable for accidents involving someone whom they unlawfully over-served. Is that something officials looked into here? If not, then simply charging the allegedly drunk driver may only be telling part of the larger story.
