Knox County, TX — November 17, 2025, Preston Medley was injured as the result of a car accident around 3:50 p.m. along Highway 222.
Authorities say that the crash happened just west of Munday near County Road 267.
According to officials, 20-year-old Preston Medley was in in a Toyota traveling eastbound along the highway. The vehicle reportedly lost control, and it crashed along the side of the road. Due to this, Preston Medley had serious injuries.
Authorities did not report anyone else being involved in the accident. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable.

When it comes to single-vehicle accidents and younger drivers, I find that people are generally unwilling to give the driver any kind of benefit of the doubt. I’m not saying people don’t make mistakes, but the evidence is what should have the final say. I can’t count how many times I had a crash like this come across my desk where authorities just jumped to conclusions without doing a proper investigation. Maybe they were more careful here, but that’s not the sort of thing I’d take for granted. More often, there needs to be a proper, thorough, independent accident reconstruction.
