Bell County, TX — June 17, 2024, one man was injured in a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 9:30 p.m. along Clear Creek Road.

According to authorities, a 38-year-old Killeen man was on foot in the center turn lane of Clear Creek Road traveling south in the vicinity south of Bellagio Drive when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the pedestrian was struck by a southbound vehicle of unknown make or model. The motor vehicle allegedly fled the scene of the accident, the person(s) inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim.

The pedestrian suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the collision; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the man who was injured—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
