As little information as there is available right now, these situations can still be resolved if authorities work with community until someone can come forward with useful information. Finding a runaway driver is crucial for more than just their role in the accident. Generally speaking, it’s not common that drivers run just of fear of consequences for the accident itself. They’re almost always hiding something else, such as warrants, stolen vehicles, drunk driving, or other offenses. By cooperating with local residents, it’s usually just a matter of time before information comes to light that can see a dangerous driver taken off the streets and held accountable for their actions.
