San Benito, TX — May 9, 2024, one person was injured in a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 5:45 a.m. along Expressway 83.
According to authorities, a male pedestrian was on foot on Expressway 83 in the vicinity south of Paso Real when the accident took place.
The cause of the incident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the man was struck by a motor vehicle. The collision caused the pedestrian to sustain injuries of reportedly unknown severity; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
