Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

The driver involved allegedly had been drinking, though it’s unconfirmed at this time if alcohol was the cause of the accident. This can maker things rather complex, as things are rarely as simple as just finding out if the driver was drunk. For example, if alcohol was a factor, that might necessitate investigations into where the alcohol came from. If it was unlawfully over-served, the alcohol provider could also be responsible for their role in the accident. Whatever the case may be, it’s very possible there’s still more to this story yet to be brought to light.
