Houston, TX — August 17, 2024, a man was killed following a pedestrian versus car accident shortly after 12:45 a.m. along Interstate Highway 45.
According to authorities, the accident took place on I.H. 45, North Freeway, in the vicinity north of Tidwell Road.
Officials indicate that, possibly because he had been hit by another vehicle that had previously left the scene, a 59-year-old male pedestrian was lying in the active lanes of the interstate. Reports state that he was also struck by a Toyota Corolla. The driver of the Corolla did stop and call emergency services to the area. The pedestrian, however, had suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
