Spring Valley, NY — February 16, 2024, a young girl was killed following a pedestrian versus bus accident shortly after 11:30 a.m. along South Madison Avenue.
According to authorities, a 6-year-old girl had just gotten off of the bus and was walking in front of it in order to cross the street in the vicinity of Madison Avenue and Hillman Place when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the bus began driving forward before the child had crossed in front of it. It reportedly struck her twice before coming to a stop.
