Harris County, TX — August 1, 2025, Paul Ramsey Jr. was killed as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 10:25 p.m. along Gears Road.
Preliminary information about the accident says that the collision occurred off the corner of the Gears Road and T C Jester Boulevard intersection north of Houston.
According to officials, 37-year-old Paul Edward Ramsey Jr. was on foot at the time in the area of Gears Road. While there, authorities say that a Nissan Rogue was going westbound when it somehow struck Paul Ramsey. That Nissan then reportedly left the scene.
Investigators said that Paul Ramsey was killed as result of the accident. It’s unclear if authorities identified the runaway driver.

When it comes to hit-and-runs, one of the best things authorities can do is release as much information to the public as possible. Often, someone in the community is able to come forward with new details that can help identify the runaway driver. Once that happens, steps can be taken both to see consequences for the accident and to find out why the driver fled in the first place.
