How Did This Accident Occur?

It’s natural for people to assume that a single-vehicle crash like this was the result of driver error or fatigue, but a career spent dealing with commercial vehicle crashes has taught me to wait until more facts are known before reaching conclusions.

What if the Ram had some sort of problem with its brakes or steering mechanism? What if its trailer or cargo started moving, causing the truck to lost control? What if another vehicle forced it off the road?

A thorough investigation of the truck, its trailer and data from its engine control module will help piece together how this crash happened. That will provide answers that those affected by this crash deserve.
