Wichita Falls, TX — October 13, 2024, Noah Burris was killed and another was injured due to a pedestrian accident at around 8:40 p.m. along Central Freeway.
Details from officials indicate that the accident occurred along the exit ramp from northbound I-44 to Missile Road.
Investigators said that 21-year-old Noah Burris of Burkburnett was in a vehicle on the interstate. Details suggest that the vehicle parked along the interstate, following which Noah Burris exited the vehicle. In events not clear right now, a passing vehicle struck and killed Burris. Another person who went into the road to help him was also hit by a vehicle. That person reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

There still seems to be a lot of information here that isn’t available, so I have to wonder if authorities were ever able to get clear answers for the victims and families involved behind the scenes. It can surprise folks to learn how sometimes authorities only ever get as much information as the little they release to the public. This can take families by surprise when they’re waiting around for answers only to find themselves empty-handed weeks or months later. That’s why there’s a generally good rule of thumb to consider. If folks feel their concerns are being addressed, and answer from authorities are all sensible, then it’s likely that authorities are conducting good, thorough investigations. But if things aren’t adding up or if people feel they’re not getting the answers they deserve, that may be a time to consider other avenues through which they can get some closure.
