Bexar County, TX — August 17, 2024, a New Braunfels man was injured following a UTV accident at around midnight along F.M. 1518.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened near F.M. 1518 and Lower Seguin Road.

Investigators said that a 28-year-old New Braunfels man was in a Can-Am side-by-side traveling eastbound on F.M. 1518. At Lower Seguin Road, the vehicle made a left turn and overturned. As a result, the driver was seriously injured. The passenger in the vehicle, a 25-year-old man, had no reported injuries.

One thing that concerns me with accidents like this is that authorities can already mishandled single-vehicle wrecks as is due to the fact they’re usually seen as a low priority. When an atypical vehicle like a side-by-side is involved, it potentially throws another wrench into the works that can lead to authorities overlooking important details. That’s why I have to wonder how these investigations are being handled and if independent investigations might catch something authorities missed.
