Houston, TX — June 23, 2023, a motorcyclist was killed as the result of a possible drunk driving accident at around 2:00 a.m. on the Southwest Freeway.
Preliminary details about the crash say that it happened in the Montrose area of Harris County near Shepherd Drive.
According to officials, a motorcyclist was traveling along the Southwest Freeway. Up ahead, police say they believe an SUV got onto the freeway going the wrong direction. That SUV ended up crashing head-on with the motorcycle, ejecting the rider.
The motorcyclist, identified right now only as a man in his 40s, died due to the collision. No other injuries were confirmed. Authorities say it’s possible the SUV driver was drunk at the time of the crash, but this has yet to be confirmed. No pending charges have been reported. Investigations are ongoing.
