Elsa, TX — January 29, 2026, one person sustained injuries due to a mobile home fire accident along Lito Rosas Street.
Preliminary reports on the accident say the home was located off the intersection of Lito Rosas Street and West Arcadio Padilla Service Road, just north of Edinburg Avenue.
Elsa and Edcouch response teams arrived to find that a mobile home had caught fire. A resident escaped the fire, but that person, an unidentified man, reportedly had serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
At this time, there is no confirmed cause for the accident.

When it comes to a fire, it’s important to consider more than just possible mistakes from the residents. Did the fire start from a defective appliance or device? Was there a gas leak? Was something not installed properly? Is this a rental property not being maintained properly? Likely or not, no stone should go unturned. That’s especially true when someone suffered serious injuries, as officials report here.
