Randolph County, MO — January 29, 2024, Michael Fenner and Kaysamual Blanks were killed following an 18-wheeler accident before midnight on U.S. 24.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol released preliminary information about the crash, which they say occurred just east of Moberly along westbound lanes of the highway.
According to officials, 61-year-old Michael Fenner was in a Freightliner 18-wheeler going westbound along the highway. Up ahead, authorities say that 31-year-old Kaysamual Blanks was outside of a Kenworth tractor-trailer that was stationary with its trailer blocking lanes of travel. Fenner’s truck crashed into the stationary trailer, hitting Blanks in the process.
Due to the collision, both Fenner and Blanks sustained fatal injuries. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable pending further investigations.
