Weber County, UT — July 21, 2023, a Mexico driver sustained fatal injuries as the result of a truck accident at the Pineview Reservoir at around 4:00 p.m.
According to initial details provided by Utah Highway Patrol officials, the incident happened east of Ogden in the area of Trapper’s Loop and State Route 39.
Investigators said that an unidentified Mexican man was in a dump truck that was going along the Trapper’s Loop somehow went off the side of the road. The truck then careened some distance until it crashed into the Pineview Reservoir.
As a result of the crash, the truck driver was pronounced deceased. Authorities say they were able to remove the truck from the water by 6:00 p.m. At this time, additional details surrounding the cause of the crash remain unavailable as investigations.
