Richardson, TX — January 29, 2024, Manuel Amaya Jr. was injured in a wrong-way car accident shortly before 6:00 a.m. along Jupiter Road.
According to reports, a 57-year-old man was the sole occupant of a Nissan Pathfinder which was allegedly traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Jupiter Road in the vicinity North of Belt Line Road.
Officials indicate that, as a result of the wrong-way situation, the Pathfinder was involved in a collision with an oncoming vehicle occupied by 42-year-old Manuel Amaya Jr. The man who had been behind the wheel of the wrong-way vehicle reportedly left the scene, but was apparently located a short time later.
Amaya incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to a local medical center by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
