Midland County, TX — July 22, 2023, Luis Castaneda was fatally injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 3:45 p.m. along Highway 349.
Authorities said that the accident happened just north of town along the highway. Initial details said that 34-year-old Luis Castaneda was in a Ford F-150 that was going westbound along Highway 349. Due to events which are still under investigation, it appears that the pickup went into the eastbound lanes. There, the Ford and a semi-truck collided.
As a result of the crash, Castaneda succumbed to fatal injuries. The semi-truck driver, identified in the news as Ganiyu Olaleken Raji, had injuries of unspecified severity. Right now, there are no additional details available about the fatal crash. Investigations are ongoing.
