Dallas County, TX — December 15, 2023, Lee Christine Poole was injured as the result of a car accident at around 1:00 p.m. along Abbott Avenue.
Authorities said the crash, which happened at the intersection of Abbott Avenue and St. Johns Drive, resulted in the arrest of an allegedly intoxicated driver.
According to officials, a woman identified as 57-year-old Lee Christine Poole was in a Honda CR-V going westbound on St. Johns. At the four-way stop, Poole proceeded through the intersection when a northbound Lexus reportedly illegally passed a vehicle waiting at the stop sign, ran the stop sign, and then crashed into the side of Poole’s vehicle.
Poole reportedly had serious injuries as a result of the collision. The other driver did not appear to be injured. Most recent public information shows that the Lexus driver was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of the collision. There was a recommendation for DWI charges, but nothing further can be confirmed right now.
