One of the biggest challenges in general with single-vehicle wrecks is ensuring that they get the attention they deserve. Put simply, authorities rarely prioritize single-vehicle wrecks. As a result, officers might lack the time and tools they need to look into complex possible factors, like mechanical defects or roadway hazards, for example. That can lead to officers leaving out vital details or just outright jumping to conclusions.

A victim’s loved ones shouldn’t be left to pick up that slack, but that’s often what happens. A lot of the calls we get from families unsatisfied with official investigations are about single-vehicle wrecks where the victim isn’t around to tell their side of the story. Authorities who have dedicated, experienced investigators handling the accident reconstruction help ensure the evidence can tell that side of the story in the victim’s place. Time will tell what kind of attention authorities are giving this crash.
