New Braunfels, TX — June 3, 2023, Larry Baladez was injured as the result of a car accident that happened around 3:58 p.m. along Spur Street.
Authorities say they were called out to the area of the Spur Street and Plum Avenue intersection. There, officials believe that 51-year-old Larry Baladez was in a Chevy Suburban that was going eastbound along Spurt Street. Up ahead, authorities say that a GMC Sierra was turning right onto Spurt Street from San Antonio Street.
As the GMC made the turn, however, the vehicle apparently fishtailed due to high speeds, causing it to crash into Baladez. This resulted in Baladez sustaining injuries described as incapacitating. It appears the other driver was not hurt.
Authorities allege that the GMC driver had been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Records show recommended charges for DWI and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Currently, there are no other confirmed details.
