Chambers County, TX — November 25, 2025, Lachia Rodriguez was killed as the result of a car accident just after midnight along the East Freeway.
According to officials, the crash happened along westbound I-10 near Jenkins Road, west of Winnie.
Investigators said that 42-year-old Lachia Rodriguez was in an Infiniti going along the interstate. Somehow, the car crashed. Authorities say that Lachia Rodriguez then exited her vehicle. Afterward, authorities say an SUV and an 18-wheeler struck Lachia Rodriguez, resulting in fatal injuries.

In a series of events like this, one of the most important things is preserving evidence early on. A lot of details can be time-sensitive. If authorities are too lacks or aren’t prioritizing the investigations, they could miss something important.
Did they pull electronic data from the vehicles? Is there any video footage of the initial or following collisions? Have they secured phone records? Are there any witnesses who weren’t involved in the accident? Has the victim’s vehicle been inspected for defects which could explain the initial crash?
Likely or not, these are the kinds of things I generally see independent accident reconstructionists answer. If authorities here can answer those same questions, that’s a good sign. But if their answers come up short, that may be a sign that independent professionals should step in and ensure the victim’s loved ones are getting the full story.
