UPDATE (June 16, 2023): Details from Harris County officials identified the victims killed in the crash. The information says Kenneth Buggs was the driver of the SUV while Juhu Garcia Reyes was identified as the passenger of the work van. Currently, the exact cause of the crash, and there is no indication of pending charges at this time.
Harris County, TX — June 14, 2023, two were killed and one was injured in a head-on crash just before noon on FM 529 in Harris County.
Authorities say a westbound Volkswagon SUV and an eastbound work van collided when one of the vehicles crossed the center lane line near Bartlett Road.
Responding authorities called three Life Flights to the scene as three people reportedly sustained severe injuries. Two injured work van passengers and the SUV driver were reportedly taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Officials confirmed that one of the work van passengers and the SUV driver died at the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
