Dekalb County, AL — June 22, 2023, Kaysohn T. Baker was killed, a 15-year-old, and Marvin Campbell were injured in a truck accident around 9:15 a.m. on I-59 in Dekalb County.
Officials report Mr. Campbell was driving a car, with Mr. Baker and the 15-year-old as passengers inside it, about one mile north of Fort Payne, AL when his vehicle somehow collided with a reportedly stationary semi-truck. The truck driver was reportedly in the truck at the time of the incident.
Investigators report Kaysohn T. Baker suffered fatal injuries, and the semi-truck driver, the minor passenger, and Marvin Campbell were taken to hospitals.
Authorities have not released what direction the vehicles were facing, where on the road the crash occurred, or what possible factors led up to the wreck.
