Houston, TX — December 5, 2023, Juan Carlos Villanueva was killed in a truck accident at approximately 6:30 a.m. along McCarty Street.
According to reports, 33-year-old Juan Carlos Villanueva was traveling in a southwest bound Ford F-250 approaching the Portwall Street intersection when the accident took place.
Allegedly, an 18-wheeler was at a stop on southwest bound McCarty Street in the left lane awaiting northeast bound traffic to clear in order to make a left turn onto Portwall Street. For unknown reasons, the Ford F-250 collided with the back end of the 18-wheeler. Villanueva reportedly incurred critical injuries as a result of the crash; he was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries, having been declared deceased at the hospital.
The cause of the accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to be cloudy and dry. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
