Right now there’s no mention of possible charges. However, authorities did say the driver involved may have been intoxicated. Is that true? And if so, are authorities going to ensure there will be full accountability?

People generally think that if a drunk driver causes an accident, charging them makes the whole thing open-and-shut. In a lot of situations, though, there can also be an accomplice in a local alcohol provider due to them unlawfully over-serving the driver. They can face potential criminal investigations, fines, license suspensions, and liability for the resulting harm. But if authorities are too narrow in their scope, they can easily overlook this. In my experience, they often do. That’s why I have to wonder if steps are really being taken here to get the full story. There’s no doubt a family out there in need of answers.
