Columbia County, GA — May 8, 2023, a Burke County Deputy, Johnny Lee Snyder, was injured in a collision with a semi-truck around 12:35 p.m. on I-20 in Columbia County.
Officials report Mr. Snyder’s Ford Expedition was westbound behind a dump truck when his vehicle allegedly rear-ended the dump truck.
Mr. Snyder was reportedly taken to a medical center with serious injuries. There are no reports regarding the dump truck driver. Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
