Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

After a serious car accident like this, it’s important to know what kind of investigation the crash is getting. Sometimes, authorities dedicate enough time and tools that they can get all the facts, and nothing important slips through the cracks. But other times, crashes may be treated as a low priority, and details might slip through the cracks.

That’s why it’s important for victims and families to be straight forward with authorities early on. If authorities can answer all concerns and questions thoroughly, they likely did good investigations. But if their responses don’t add up, it may be a sign that there needs to be an independent investigation to make sure nothing important slipped through the cracks.
