Bell County, TX — April 5, 2024, Joanna Mendoza and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 2:00 p.m. along F.M. 2305, Adams Avenue.
According to authorities, 43-year-old Joanna Mendoza and a 43-year-old man were traveling in a westbound Dodge Charger along Loop 205 at the Adams Avenue intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a southbound Volkswagen Jetta occupied by a 25-year-old woman on Adams Avenue attempted to go straight through the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. It has been noted that only right turns from that road were legal at that particular intersection. This maneuver resulted in a T-bone collision between the left side of the Jetta and the front-end of the Charger.
Mendoza incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck and the woman from the Jetta suffered reportedly moderate injuries, as well. They were both transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
