Texas City, TX — October 3, 2024, Janis Cutaia was injured following a car accident that occurred at around 3:15 P.M. on IH-45.
An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the afternoon hours of October 3rd. According to official reports, Janis Cutaia was travelling in a Jeep Grand Cherokee on IH-45 in the southbound lanes, near Holland Rd when they were struck by a Ford Mustang. According to official reports, the Mustang was travelling at a high rate of speed and attempted to change lanes when they struck a vehicle. The collision then caused the Mustang to lose control when it then hit Cutaia, which caused her vehicle to strike a concrete barrier and then overturn.
As a result of the impact, all vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Cutaia had sustained serious injuries and transported her to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released from the accident, including the status of Cutaia’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
