These preliminary details seem to paint quite the damning picture of the driver who allegedly turned in front of the motorcyclist. But one thing to keep in mind is that a family needs as much clear evidence telling the victim’s side of the story as possible. Rarely is this more true than with motorcyclists.
Simply put, people are more inclined to believe motorcyclists were being reckless, and insurance companies know this. They know that if they try to paint a victim as being irresponsible or reckless, they have a better chance of doing so with motorcyclists and can use that unfair bias to their advantage.
However, bias only goes so far when there is clear and convincing proof to the contrary. As such, the more evidence investigators preserve for the family, the better their chances of seeing a fair resolution and full accountability for what happened. Were those steps ever taken here?
