Houston, TX — May 26, 2024, James Gontarek was injured following a motorcycle accident at 2:10 a.m. along the Katy Freeway.
According to officials, the accident happened along eastbound lanes of I-10 in the area of Silber Road.
Investigators said that 20-year-old James Gontarek was on a motorcycle going along the interstate. The motorcycle apparently lost control and crashed, ejecting Gontarek. As a result, James Gontarek reportedly had serious injuries. No other details can be confirmed right now.

Single-vehicle wrecks don’t often get the attention they deserve, and it concerns me when someone is seriously injured in one. When authorities feel something is a low priority, they may not go beyond the crash scene to get answers. So if the victim is rushed from the scene due to their injuries, they may not have an opportunity to tell their side of the story. Authorities here may have done their due diligence in gathering evidence, but it wouldn’t be the first time if it turned out they overlooked something important.
