Fort Worth, TX — October 10, 2024, James Gober Jr. was injured following a car accident at around 9:55 p.m. along Interstate 30.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of westbound I-30 near Montgomery Street.
Investigators said that 47-year-old James Gober Jr. was in a GMC Envoy going along I-30. Details suggest the vehicle may have lost control in an attempt to avoid a motorcyclist. The GMC veered into the right side barrier, causing the vehicle to overturn back across lanes of travel.

Details aren’t entirely clear at this time, and authorities didn’t say if this motorcycle remained at the scene or not. Was this a hit-and-run accident? Was the victim trying to avoid a reckless driver who then fled the scene? If so, I would hope to see more information about the runaway vehicle, as the public is often able to connect the dots and help authorities come up with a name. It makes me wonder if this crash is really getting the attention it deserves or if authorities saw it as a low priority and moved on too quickly without getting all the facts.
